NJM #6 P-Day June 29, 2016

Subject: Re: Mission Adventure

My last week at the MTC!!! So crazy! I'm so excited to go to France
and to teach this amazing word!! This time has flown by so fast and I
can't believe it's been 6 weeks!! This week has been really awesome
way to end the MTC experience. So here's a little something from this
week.
Week overview: For the 24 of July the Nashville tribute bang came and
sang for us and talked about the pioneers and it was so so so so
good!!! Look them up on YouTube and you'll love them!! And we got to
watch Were the Mormons for the video of the night and I cried when it
got to the spot where the kid goes on a mission and says goodbye to
his family cause it's still a little tender for me and he looks kinda
like me hahah and it's easy to put yourself in the shoes of other
missionaries most the time cause we all had to say goodbye at one
point. But it was so good to watch it! One thing I miss so much is
music. And the Nashville tribute band made me miss it even more even
tho it was country and it kinda hurt my soul it still brought the
spirit ahaha.

Why is personal agency essential in conversion? When we
teach this good word not so we force upon people what we believe. We
are called to call people to repentance. But that's not a bad thing an
if we aren't calling people unto repentance in France and all around
the world then who is? I love this saying, this is my purpose as a
missionary and what I will be doing in less than a week!! I'm so
excited!! It's scary but I'm so excited!! We also got to say goodbye
to Grant Gubler. It was super sad and all the  Hurricaneites went and said
goodbye to him it was cool! It so good seeing the boys from home!
Sorry this is so short but I have to pack and stuff today and get a
hair cut and everything. Know I love you all and thank you so much for
your prayers and help with me on this adventure!! I love you all! Come
unto Christ every day ! This will be my last email from the USA for two
years!! CRAZYYYY! Love you all lots

NJM #5 P-DAY July 22nd, 2016

I GET MY FLIGHT PLANS TODAY!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone this is crazy only 9 more days left here at the MTC. The
language is coming alright and I've growing every day in the language
and in the spirit. This is how my week went this week.
Week overview: We have been working on the WHY of missionary work. And
how we become successful missionaries we must feel and go though a
tiny bit of what the savior felt and shed a tear of sorrow for the
salvation of our investigators and for ourselves. It requires
something of our souls, and we must follow the example of the only
perfect missionary Jesus Christ. We are always thought never forget
the feeling of being a missionary and I know that missionary is a
lifetime thing and I can't wait to serve for the rest of my life. I
know I'll miss it here going to serve the people of France.  If you
have a chance look up the video on YouTube. Missionary work in the
Atonement. AND HOLY CRAP PRESIDENT BEDNAR CAME AND TALKED HE CAME IN
AS A SURPRISE IT WAS DOPE!!!!

But the same old same old has been going
the French is coming little by little and we only have one more week
so that's weird. One thing that I love that I was reading in my
personal study I don't remember where. But this is what is it said,
This is the last time the lord is going to prune is vineyard and he is
calling all of his servants to help with the special work. He is
calling all of us to the work, whether it be a big ole smile or a
quick hello to a stranger. That can literally change someone's life so
help the lord prune the vineyard and be amazing and let your like
shine. I love grandmas quote she sends me, "Let the son shine in".
Love you all hope you have an amazing week thanks for all that you all
do for me, I am forever great full for all of you!!

Letter to mom!

Thanks mom!!! Oh man you had to get up really early take lots of
picture so I can see I've never been there.!! You'll be awesome you
can do it. So I'll start with our p day schedule so we go to the
temple at 6:45 and do the 7 session. Then we go and eat breakfast in
the temple which is so so so so good. It's the best food we eat here.
My heart and prayers are with you! Be safe!!! Yeah this week has been
really good my French is coming along I'm not very good at reading and
pernuncasion but I've had that problem before French so that's okay. I
just get super nervous reading in front of people and I start to rush
everything and to mess up, so Frere Adams has been helping me as long
with my companion with that and being able to say the words right and
stuff. But like just talking my speech is pretty good, I'm more of a
hear and talk then read and talk kind of learner. But yeah so we go to
the temple then we have lunch and stuff like at 12 then laundry at
like 1 and then we have nothing tell like dinner is at 5 and then we
have class at 6 tell 9, but that's all we have so we do our laundry
and stuff write letters and emails, I'm gonna go get one of my suits
dry cleaned today and just use that one this week and then get that
one I wear next week dry cleaned cause we leave in 9 days holy cow
it's going by so fast!!!  But everything is going really good the
time is flying by!! I feel inadequate at times with my French cause we
only have a week left and I still don't know that much, but it will
come as I get there and stuff and study hard. This week our teacher
challenged us to pick a Christ like attribute that we wanted to work
on this week and then at the end of the week they are going to ask us
how it is going, and I choose Knowledge. I'm trying really hard to
study really hard and to get this stuff down. But like I'm trying and
as I have faith I know it will come, Still crazy to think this time in
a couple weeks I'll be in France! So crazy but so excited I want to
share the good news with people. But I hope you have a great week mom
thanks for the cookies and the socks I got them both this week! Thank
you. I love you so much and I'll give you the run down of my whole
week in my group email.
Love you lots have fun hiking be safe tell the kids miss them and love them.
